I am the same way, I don't know the back story of every musician in every band I listen to. However some people in the music industry are just really well known, and Mr. Grohl is one of them.

Saw Foo Fighters at Bamboozle 2012. Changed my life. Some guy jumped the stage, security came out the woodwork, tackled him, dragged him backstage. Dave noted that jumping on stage took way bigger balls than he ever had, and dedicated "These Days" to him. Also that was the week of prom and I lost my v card earlier that day. I gotta write a movie about that weekend.
